About Julie

I wish I'd taken more photos of my grandma Jane when she was alive. But to keep her spirit with me, if you look closely at my logo, the flower stems are her initials, JKS. Every time I look at my website, I see her, and that makes me very happy. It's a disappointing feeling to wish you'd taken more photos. People frequently share with me that 'their little boy is all grown up now' and 'how quickly time flies by' and 'how they wished they captured that certain age' that was so memorable. Whether its terrible-twos, chatty-fours, or adorable-eights, each year of your child's life is priceless to document. A memory that tells a story...

My photography through the years has focused on family and friends and capturing life moments with an artistic flare. My home is filled with framed photographs on the walls and on table tops. I carry my camera everywhere with me, so I can't miss an opportunity to capture a special smile, a glance or an embrace. The best images are candid and natural. When people are at ease, they're authentic. And that's when I capture the moment.

I'm a very sensitive, patient and caring person. I've found that not only does this help when photographing all children, but it helps ease the apprehension that some parents feel when having their children with disabilities photographed. Each child brings something so special to the photo shoot and I can easily find it. There is no need to worry or feel sad. I promise you, these will be photos you'll love, treasure and share.

I believe I have a knack for bringing out people's emotions. I know that a smile is sometimes hidden beneath the fear and anxiety of being photographed.

I'll find your smile, I guarantee it.

Looking forward to it,
